Thought:Eventually We Are Going To Have To Balance The Budget

What are we going to do when we come to the point that we need to balance the budget each year? At that point the interest rate on our loans will probably be much higher than it is right now. We have become accustomed to borrowing almost 1 trillion dollars per year, no country could sustain that rate of borrowing.

Thought:We had to do something

Before the government nationalized health care the system just didn't work. Tons of people didn't have any coverage and couldn't get the help they needed.

Thought:Politicians don't listen to the people they represent

In the case of nationalizing health care, most of the public was against it, yet the politicians passed it anyway.

Thought:We're too greedy about government assistance

The problem we have is that we are just too greedy when it comes to government assistance. People used to get by on what they had and sometimes get help from a local church if things really got bad. Now we depend on the government to provide for us.

Instead of bribing politicians, the legal way to influence their voting power is to pay them through fund raisers.

Thought:Free Trade Eliminates Jobs

Many of the jobs that used to be available here in the US disappeared because labor in foreign countries is cheaper. Companies can afford to pay to have products made in foreign countries and sent here because of free trade agreements.

Thought:Deficit Hits $15 Trillion

Recently the US national debt hit $15 Trillion. We have no control over our spending and it gets worse every year. I feel like I have no way of changing the minds of the politicians that represent us, they are just going to keep spending.

With the debt already at $15 Trillion, how can we afford an expense that we don't even have an accurate estimate for yet?
